Pet items:
- Pet brush glove.
I saw and ad for this online and thought it would be useful, but it looked gimmicky... but I saw that they had one on sale the other day and thought, why not... you never know till you try. So, I got one. I received it just today, and eagerly opened it. I tried it out on my older bunny; Dasher, since he is older and is shedding a lot more fur than my little bunny; Snowy.
So I wasn't expecting it to work so well. It did it's job and trapped quite a lot of fur, though there were a few stray fly aways. I liked that ti has soft silicone bristles that massage your pet while stroking them. It works like a brush, but better. I mean, you can stroke your pet, while brushing them, trapping the loose fur and giving them a massage at the same time.
What's not to like?
Another thing I liked about it, is the ease of removing the collected fur on the glove. For brushes, you usually need to stick a pick or something to pick out the fur from in between the bristles, and at times, not all the fur gets removed. For the glove, all you need to do is pick an end to start from, and just pull upwards. the fur will come off as a whole piece(if you're lucky) in the shape of the glove. The fur kind of gets woven together as you brush/stroke your pet.
Another thing is, the glove is a free size, but it has a velcro for you to adjust the size to your hand at the wrist. so all in all, I love it.
I give it a 9/10. it could use some improvements, but it gets the job done.

Lips
- Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain
I think this is my very first lip stain. I have lipsticks, balms and glosses, but this is the first time I ever got a lip stain. The shade I have it in is number 045 New York Scene. I for one, love dark lip colours. So whenever I get a lip colour, be it a stick, gloss or etc, it would have to look gothic or vampy.
Don't get me wrong, I do own a few light colours for days that I go with the more bright or natural look, but most of the time I stick to dark.
For this lip stain, its colour is a little lighter than what I prefer, but I find it okay. I usually use it in small amounts as a light natural look, and I use more when I want a bold look. I also sometimes mix it with another lip colour to make the ombre look which I know has been trending. Considering it is a stain, I expected it to actually leave a stain on my lips and I expected it to last. but unfortunately for me, it doesn't really last. All it takes is for me to take two sips of water and the colour is mostly gone. Maybe to someone out there, it stays, but for me, staying power is a thumbs down.
Aside from that, one thing I love about it, and sticks true is the moisture. It really does keep your lips moist and it doesn't flake throughout. It feels really comfortable to put on and to have on. It doesn't leave a sticky residue either. I really like this aspect. I would definitely but it again though it doesn't last, but it's worth it to me just 'cos of the other aspects.
I do feel kind of sad though, I have been trying to find more of this but I have yet to find them. I do hope I will find it soon.
My rating for it is an 8/10.
-Revlon Super Lustrous
Yes, another Revlon. It's a drugstore brand here in SG,what do you expect? Anyway, I do love Revlon. During christmas time last year, I came across this limited edition lipstick whenI was doing some christmas shopping. I wanted a bold red lipstick in my collection and this was the perfect opportunity! I am not sure if there is any left n the shelves, but since it's a limited edition, I doubt so.
Anyway, I saw this and I got it. When I first opened it, there was a scent that brought me back to my childhood. (No, I didn't wear makeup when I was a child.) It smelled of the scented notebooks we used to get. I loved the scent back then and I still do now. I smelled really floral but not over powering, at least to me.
I liked the colour. It was nice shade of red. it wasn't overly bright. It wan't drying though. I had expected it to at least be a bit drying like most normal lipsticks are. but it was kind of smooth. It lasts like all normal lipstick do. So be prepared to reapply through out the day if you ever drink or eat. aside from that, I loved the packaging. it really looked limited edition. The whole product is unique right from the scent to packaging to even the lip colour (I presume). The name of the colour is called Love is On. It seems like something you get during valentines.
I give this a 10/10 as I love it alot.
Eyes
- L'oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza
I have been using this for numerous years now, and this is by far the best liner for me. I tried liquid liners before, but I found it difficult to work with. I have also used other gel liners before, but this by far, takes the cake. It goes on really smoothly and the price for it is a little steep, if you consider $20+ steep...
Other gel liners I have used before were quite dry and hard. Even in the pod, it was more like a thick slab of almost dry cement. With this, it is super smooth and it glides on easily. This comes with a brush when you buy it. But personally I don't use the brush it comes with. I recommend getting an angled eyeliner brush for easier control. Though it's up to the user. if you are more comfortable with the brush that it came with, by all means, go ahead, I use the brush for other purposes, like when I line with eyeshadow.
Aside from it being smooth to apply and pick up, the colour is also very pigmented/intense. I use black and it only needs a tiny bit to get the job done. It is supposed to last 24hrs, but only if you properly prime etc. I usually don't use primer and due to the weather here, I get oily lids and it sometimes fades. but on days i properly prime, it lasts the whole day till I was it off. Though the wing (when I wing my liner) stays in place the whole day though I don't prime. So I blame my oily lids, Other than that, it is by far my most fave liner up till I find another better one. But for now, this is my go to. Though I don't know if I'd still be able to get it anymore since the last time I bought it, the sales person said it was going to end production... I don't trust her. I remember seeing it at a supermarket almost half a year later. Well, we'll see when the time comes for a new pod. Though When it will be, I don't know as one pod lasted me more than a year.
I give this a 10/10.
Face
- Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
Now I know this isn't makeup, but it IS a makeup remover, so I'm adding it here. For as long as I have been wearing makeup, I have been searching for the best remover out there that would be gentle to my skin and eyes. I have really sensitive skin and most face washes, creams and makeup removers, be it wipes, liquids or creams, make my skin act up and get really dry, irritated and it hurts.
So I had actually managed to find a remover that was suitable and didn't sting my eyes. It was the bamboo charcoal eye and lip makeup remover or something from face shop, but alas, like all Face Shop products, they go through a phase. By the time I went back to get more, they had stopped production and so I had to hunt for another remover. I had gotten a rice water remover from them but it didn't really agree with me. So, I was on a hunt again.
I had recently seen numerous ads about micellar water and that it was a good makeup remover, so I wanted to try it. I had gone for the biore wipes and it worked perfectly like it should, but it was quite pricey. So I looked for other options. It just so happened that Watsons was having a sale and I saw the Bioderma Micellar Water on offer. I just impulsively bought it. It came in a pack of 2 x 500ml bottles and it was at a pretty reasonable price. I was glad that I got it and it wasn't a mistake. It really does the job.
It takes me just max 3 cotton pads to get my full face makeup off. My full face consists of liquid foundation, powder foundation, concealer, eyebrows, eye shadow, eyeliner, contouring and highlight. So all that gone with only 3 pads is a feat. That, and it is super gentle to the skin. You can get it in your eye and it won't hurt. (not that I'm telling you to get it there in the first place. I mean accidental or even for those like me who like to put eye liner as close to the waterline as possible.) and it leaves a refreshing feeling on your skin after. The one I am using is meant for sensitive skin. So I am unsure how the normal ones are like, but I recommend getting the sensitive one as the price is not that much different.
My rating is a 10/10.

We have come to the misc. section!! Yay!!
-Bobby Backpack
Now, I am used to carrying backpacks everywhere I go. Because I have loads of Stuff in my bag, it usually ends up heavy and often lop sided. What's worse is everywhere you go, there is always a crowd. So you worry about your stuff falling out, or even pick pockets and having your stuff stolen. Another thing is, we are all living in the tech age where we need to have a backup power bank with us wherever we go. So if you are like me, and carry around a large capacity power bank, it get's troublesome to carry around when you need to charge, due to the size of the power bank, the more juice it stores, the bigger it gets. So the one I have is roughly the size of my actual phone itself. So imaging the trouble of juggling your stuff on the go.
With this, it makes my life so much easier. It not only has enough space to dump in your stuff and still keep organized. It stabilizes itself and always sits straight on the ground. So it means, the pressure is evened out on your back, so no back pains at the end of the day. The bag has numerous pockets. int he main compartment, there is space for a tablet, a laptop, slots for your DSLR camera and then some. it can be opened to different angles. the zip is hidden so that it can only be opened when you put it in front or put it down. it also supposedly has an anti cut material so thieves can't cut into your bag to steal your stuff. I haven't tired it myself, but other users have tired cutting it and it stuck true to it's word.
Aside from the anti-theft, It has hidden pockets as well. it is up to you what you want to put in. it is easy to reach for on the go as well. the hidden pockets are closest to your body. so it is safe as well. what I like is that on the straps, it has hidden pockets that blend in with the design when you can put some easy to reach money or travelling cards for ease of reach. I keep some small notes for on the go purchases and my transport card for when I take the bus or rail. Another feature that I love, is the usb slot embedded into the bag at the base of one of the straps for you to plug in your charging cable to charge on the go without the need of digging for your power bank and carrying it around. All you need to do, is connect the cable inside the bag that connects to the external slot, to your power bank that will be placed inside your bag. Then all you need to do is just plug in your cable to the external slot on the bag when you need a charge and boom you're good to go. When you are done charging, all you need to do is unplug your cable from the external slot. There is a zipped pocket at the back of the bag, where I keep my cables and earpieces as it is easy to reach.
The bag is padded round the back and straps for extra comfort. It is padded inside the bag as well so your precious cargo are protected. The zippers to the main part of the bag have loops for you to attach a lock if needed. So you can bring this on your overseas trips without worry.
This bag was a kickstarter project from the UK, and I sure am glad it had a breakthrough. It is not sold in usual stores in SG, but I managed to find a seller in Sim Lim that ships it in. This is authentic and the brand is XD Design. So if you are interested, I got mine from Qoo10 as it was cheaper than instore. Though be prepared to spend over $100 SGD on it as it is extremely costly. But to me, it is more than worth the money. In my opinion, it is more worth to get this bag as compared to a branded bag. But that is up to the consumer.
My rating is It 100/10. It's just that awesome.
With that, I conclude my reviews. I will be back with more reviews soon.
Till then,
~Stay true to yourself, no matter what, you are beautiful.~
